Philanthropy and Service-learning
The Missouri Eta chapter of SigEp strives on giving back to different organizations through philanthropy and service. Below are some of the philanthropy and service we have participated in recently.
Starting in 2014, our chapter programmed a week long philanthropy event named SigEp Sweetheart. This week is dedicated to raising monies for an organization of choice. We team up with each sorority, who provides a candidate that has the chance to be crowned our SigEp Sweetheart for the year.
Alumni Golf Tournaments
Each year, we team up with our alumni and host golf tournaments to raise monies for specific organizations. These tournaments also allow for great networking and fellowship among our brothers.
Other examples: Homeless Awareness Week, Jump for a Cause, and Big Pink Volleyball Tournament
We work closely with Special Olympics where we provide service. We have volunteered with events held by Special Olympics: Polar Plunge and Bowling Tournaments.
Community Partnership of the Ozarks
We also work closely with the Community Partnership of the Ozarks. We have provided service through events such as: building and painting projects and other community projects needed by the organization.
Other examples: Heart Walk events, Live Your Oath with Alpha Delta Pi, American Diabetes Association, and other campus/community related service
